Here's Kipper's version of events...
"Last Saturday was the start of my cricket sides cricket festival. They have the cricket festival every 2-3 years and basically we play 5 games over two weeks - the purposes of the festival is to raise cash for the charities chosen by the Queen. I should explain, the cricket side I play for is called the Royal Household Cricket Club and it is basically the Queen's cricket side.
So back to last Saturday, it was the start of the festival and I got to meet and be introduced to the Duke of Edinburgh. Unfortunately my nerves got the better and in the cricket match I got smashed to all parts of the ground - ended up with 0/49 off five overs. A bit embarrassing.
Then on Monday we played our second game and that is when I was lucky enough to meet the Queen. It was an amazing experience and something I will never forget. This will sound a bit girly, but she looked stunning in the green coat she was wearing. The day was incredible, we had an Army band playing music - the belted out a tune referred to as the Beat of the Retreat which was incredible. The day was pretty successful, with the club raising 400K AUD to charity - yep big number hey!"
